Thoughts for Today

“And so my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country” – John F Kennedy, January 20 1961 inauguration

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.”
President John F. Kennedy, 1963

Ten Reasons Not To Vote For Obama

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Fox News ran a special on Sunday October 26, 2008 titled “Ten Reasons Not To Vote For Obama”. Hopefully they will run it again prior to the election.  You might even be able to view it on their website, foxnews.com cannibal corpse kill download

.  In any event, I now present my

TEN REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA

10 – His Liberal Record

He is the most liberal senator in the U.S Senate as determined by a non-partisan study.  By the way, Joe Biden was number 3.

9 – His Choice of a Running Mate

That would be “Joe the Gaffe machine”.  Listen at him speak more than five minutes and you will know what I mean.  How about when he said:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

or when he said

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about, you know, the princes of greed.  He said, ‘Look here’s what happened’”

Unfortunately Roosevelt was not President and there was no TV in 1929. Yet the media gives him a pass and trashes Sara Palin.

8 – Checks and Balances

With a Democrat President and Democrats controlling both houses, they would have a super majority led by ultra liberals with a radical left wing agenda.

7- Divisive

He claims he will unite the country.  Then he plays the race card. (Ask Bill Clinton)  No one talks about race but he brings it up in every speech.  He doesn’t “look like those Presidents on the dollar bills”.

6 – Flip Flops (Lies)

He opposed FISA then voted for it, he would remove troops from Iraq immediately, then responsibly, he said Israel must never be divided, then changed his mind the next day, he agreed to public financing and then changed his mind, Iraq is a small country then a major threat.  There are so many more examples.

5 – Share the Wealth

Obama’s world view is very different than mainstream America.  His comment to Joe the Plumber was not a gaffe.  He has often spoke of sharing the wealth and redistribution.  Socialism anyone?

4 – References

So little is known about his early days.  His college records, his grades, someone that has known him for years that is not a radical.  Who would that be?

3 – National Defense and the Military

He would slash the military by 25%.  He would sit down with our enemies without precondition.  Need I say more.

2 – Associates

People are known by the company they keep. Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright, William Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis, Rev. James Meeks, Rashid Khalidi, Father Pfleger

Seeing is believing – Check out Obama’s Strange Bedfellows

1 – Experience

150 days in the U S Senate before running for President and he was a community organizer.  But you already know that. Pass the acorns.

Words of Wisdom From Rush Limbaugh

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

“If economies are built ‘bottom up’, Obama, wouldn’t Mexico be the number one economy in the world? Wouldn’t Cuba be an international superpower?”

“This guy Obama is a pure, unadulterated socialist, and he is unapologetic about it no matter how far back you go in his adult life.”

“If you think the liberals’ ideas of ‘change’ involves you getting happy, forget it — unless you want to be happy because other people are getting screwed.”

“The minute you say that conservatism includes people who are pro-choice, you’ve destroyed conservatism, because conservatism stands for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and without life, there is nothing else, is there?”

Death of our Democracy

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government.  It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, followed always by a dictatorship.   The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.
